Holy Spirit Parish at Geist is offering a new grief ministry focusing on families who are mourning the loss of a child at any age from pregnancy loss through adulthood. If you’ve lost a child, grandchild or guardian you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel and it may be hard for you to be optimistic about the future right now.
Our grief ministry is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. The weekly videos and workbook exercises are designed and led by experts in the field of grief. You’ll gain access to valuable resources to help you recover from your loss and you will be supported by others who will walk with you on this difficult journey of grief.
An informational meeting is scheduled for Sunday, May 18 at 3:30 pm in the Parish Life Center Room 54. The 11-week program is set to begin on Wednesday, May 28 from 6:00-7:30 pm in the PLC and will continue to meet on Wednesday evenings through August 6. Each week focuses on a different grief topic and includes a video presentation followed by group discussion and sharing. The workbooks for the class are $20 but scholarships are available.
